No LibreLinkUp follower account yet? Ask the person wearing the FreeStyle Libre sensor to invite you as a follower in Abbott’s LibreLinkUp app. You’ll then sign in to ZuckerDings with that same follower account.

Setting up your LibreLinkUp follower account

ZuckerDings reads your data through your own free LibreLinkUp follower account, the same account used by Abbott’s LibreLinkUp app. To set it up:

  1. Install the LibreLinkUp app and ask the sensor wearer to send you a follower invite (or create the invite yourself if you are the sensor wearer using a second, follower account).
  2. Accept the invite and confirm you can see live readings in the LibreLinkUp app.
  3. In ZuckerDings, enter that same LibreLinkUp email and password on the setup screen and tap connect.

Your credentials are stored only in the iOS Keychain on your device and are sent directly to Abbott’s LibreLinkUp/LibreView cloud, never to us. See the Privacy Policy.

Adding a widget

  1. Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen until the apps jiggle.
  2. Tap the + in the top corner, search for ZuckerDings.
  3. Pick a size (small, medium, or large), then tap Add Widget.
  4. Long-press the widget and choose Edit Widget to select which reading it shows.

Frequently asked questions

Which sensors are supported?

Any FreeStyle Libre sensor whose readings are shared through a LibreLinkUp follower account.

Why do I need a LibreLinkUp follower account?

Abbott’s official apps have no iOS widgets and no public per-user login for third-party apps. ZuckerDings reads your data through your own LibreLinkUp follower account instead, so your data stays under your control and under Abbott’s own terms.

How often do the widgets update?

iOS decides when widgets refresh (typically every 15 to 60 minutes), so readings are not real-time. ZuckerDings always shows a “last updated” time. Never use it for treatment decisions; always use your FreeStyle Libre app or a meter for that.

The widget isn’t updating.

Open the ZuckerDings app once to fetch fresh data and refresh the widgets. Make sure the app has network access and that your LibreLinkUp credentials are still valid.

I get an authentication error.

Re-check your LibreLinkUp email and password in the app, and confirm you can still sign in to the LibreLinkUp app itself. Re-entering the credentials usually resolves it.

Is my data private?

Yes. ZuckerDings has no server and collects nothing. Everything runs on your device or moves directly between your device and Abbott. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
